Those present: Ed Goddard, Pam Miller, MariAnne Novak, Cindy Huddleston, Lori Baker, Laurie Hensley and Julie Mitchel
Financial report presented
*Garage Sale—Advertising still going on. There is one more month to advertise in Highlights. Donations are coming in the garage sale in May. There is a local Boy Scout troop that will be helping to pack up remaining items. MaryAnne requested $200 for startup change at the garage sale.
*Yellow Trash Bags—Sales going good. We need more trash bags if possible by May 4th.
*Donation Letters—Cindy: Donation letters have been sent out. Pam: Donation request of: craft supplies, money, and bottle water donation. More Donation Brochure forms are needed.
*Sheriff Department—K-9 demonstration has been scheduled
*Counselors— Counselor forms were pass around. We will be giving to Pastor Kevin to distribute.
*Registration—Registration chair(s) Laurie Hensley and Shannon Kinkead. Save the date advertisement through schools and Highlight. Mrs. Hensley will be working on registration forms. They will be sending out registration forms May 9th. They are to be returned by May 27th. Mrs. Hensley shared that if possible, to do a reminder phone call, to double check with campers about their attending camp this year. It was mentioned about using the schools instant alert system to send out a camp reminder. We need to put on the registration form a spot for food allergies.
*Programs: Reading program chair is Lori Baker and Amber Russell. They will be getting a letter together to send to Random House in Crawfordsville for a request of 150 books. Mrs. Baker’s, Cougar Ambassadors, are working a grant from Putnam County Foundation.
*Games: Ed Goddard said that he could assist with games, said he could help put things together if needed.
* To Do List—Cindy said that she would send out
*Nutrition—MaryAnne—Homemakers group can do Mon., Tues., and Wed, from 12:30-3:30. There is a possibility for Thurs. (nutrition rotation) if Ronald McDonald can come and do ½ hr. presentation. MaryAnne requested that money raised at the garage sale could be earmarked to help with funding the nutrition program. Mrs. Hensley will check on who to contact about getting Ronald McDonald.
* Cindy—Check with Brandi Dickerson on life guarding, if we use the pool this summer?
*Fundraising idea—*Car Wash—Dance Team Mrs. South in May
T-shirts--$200 donations were received to go towards t-shirt. Cindy reported that her contact could do t-shirts /2 colors (150 @$3.50).
Insurance for Survivor with Character Camp will be taken care through HLNAC--Cindy
