*H.L. Garage Sale: Has contacted Mary Williams and it is o.k. Was advertised in the Highlight was very nice!!!!May 2-3 setup, May 4,5,6 sale. Need help with setup and working. Mariann said she will check with Hoosier Topic on advertising the sale, and promoting Putnam County Kids Count.
* Going to go expand and file for 5013c status.
How to pay for filing
*Budget for camp is about $5,000
*Lunch Bunch— We need another 6-12 people for 45 mins. to supervise children at camp while counselor eat.
*Fundraising idea—car wash sponsored by football, cheerleaders, and/or dance team????Julie will check on.
*Reading Program: Checking on a grant to purchase books for this year’s Survivor with Character Camp. This is through Putnam County Foundation and the Cougar Ambassadors at the Middle School are doing this. If it is accepted we will purchase books for camp, and then donate them to Everlasting Foundation after the camp. It was mentioned to incorporate Chicken soup books into our Reading Program.
* Pastor Kevin has shared his ideas on how he would like to go forward with this year’s camp. Having teens from our local Church Youth Groups be our counselors. He would be available to do training with them as well. Contacting local Churches and have them set up a Scholarship fund for those to attend the camp this year. Then having a registration fee of $10 and that money would go to each counselor as a love donation.
